Q: Childhood delusions? Whose delusions??
A: Yours! Former childhood film and video makers from a lot of different backgrounds share their delusional childhood creations at CDFF. The 2025 submissions form is open until Jan 10th, 2025.
Q: When and where is the 2025 festival taking place?
A: Sat February 8th, 2025 at the world-renowned Kent Theater, 1170 Coney Island Ave, Brooklyn, NY.

Q: What counts as a childhood delusion?
A: We welcome many kinds of childhood films and videos, but have some guidelines! Please see our submissions page.
A: Yes, but we ask that you come to the festival! It’s part of the Childhood Delusions magic to see your film in-person with the other childhood filmmakers.
Q: Can I submit a childhood film or video if I don’t live in New York?
Q: What is the festival like?
A: It’s a one-night program that’s a whirlwind blend of inventive and delusional masterworks, complete with filmmaker Q&As and a party afterwards at a nearby bar. Read more on our festival page!
A: CDFF 2025 tickets are available! We encourage attendees and CDFF filmmakers to buy tickets ahead of time. A limited amount of tickets may/may not be available at the door, so buy in advance!
Q: How do I get tickets?
Q: How do you showcase these childhood films and videos?
A: The Childhood Delusions team loves your delusions and strives to create an entertaining, diverse, and super delusional program and include as many films as possible in our 1-night screening.
Childhood Delusions showcases childhood films and videos in 3 ways:
1. Montage
Shorter clips or scenes are excerpted from the original film and included in a dynamic montage with clips from other films sharing similar themes. For example, childhood travel videos.
2. A shorter cut of the film
The editorial team creates a more concise version of the original story, preserving the narrative and style. For example, a 9 minute film abbreviated to a 4 minute version.
3. Full length
Your childhood film is featured in its entirety.
We will be in touch with you regarding how CDFF would like to include your wonderfully delusional film/video in the festival.
